This update relates to CTT events in England only. It does not relate to events in Wales or Scotland.
At the beginning of June, the Government relaxed the restrictions on social distancing. Whereas it is still not considered possible nor indeed appropriate to recommence CTT events as yet, it is anticipated that on or around 04 July the current restrictions may be relaxed further. In anticipation of that being the case, it is hoped that it may be possible to resume CTT events in July 2020.

Wheel boost for club as cycling takes off
With cycling on the up since lockdown, a Wolverhampton-based club is on the lookout for more members in anticipation of the 'new normal'.
Suspension of sanctioned cycling activity
All sanctioned cycling activity is currently suspended until 30 June 2020. While many of you have been enjoying the opportunity to ride recreationally, we appreciate that the cycling community is looking for direction and certainty on when club, group and competitive activity can resume.
A few brief words from the Chairman Wednesday 27th May 2020.
It’s been two months since we became locked down with the stadium closing and all events cancelled, although we are beginning to see the easing of lockdown from the Govt as the country cautiously moves slowly forward.
We are hoping that the Wheelers Committee can shortly arrange a virtual meeting so we can meet up online to share information and to discuss in advance how we plan to ease back and to get going again following COVID-19 protocol and BC guidelines.
With the continued uncertainty surrounding the Covid19 virus as to when life will return back to some sense of normality, and the recent events being cancelled by BC, BMCR, SCC until at least the end of April 2020 we thought it sensible to issue the following statement.
The SSSCCRRL take the safety of riders, officials and everybody involved as paramount when organising and running events. We have to consider the wider community and the pull on already stretched resources when making decisions as to whether we run races.
As everyone knows, events are continually being cancelled due to COVID-19.
From today because of risk and uncertainty all Wolverhampton Wheelers events regardless of Coaching, Track, Road or social club events are now officially cancelled until further notice.
We are aware some riders may meet up for rides away from the club but they will not be classed as official club rides.
