After consideration of the difficulties in organising this event whilst complying with the rule of 6, it has been decided to cancel the downhill contest for this year.
This Sunday 4th October the Newport C.C. are staging their annual hill climb on Bridge Road Ironbridge starting at 11.15 am. This event is open to members of other clubs that are affiliated to the CTT (Cycling Time Trials) as a 'Private Trial'. Entry is on the day - please see the Newport C.C. website for details. Members are reminded that all Government and CTT restrictions re-Covid19 must be observed including maximum group of 6 riders travelling to/from the event.
Now that Cycling UK is allowing organised rides for groups of up to 15 riders (including a designated group leader), we are recommencing Club Runs from the Stadium on Sundays starting from 9.30am this Sunday 6th September. The following Sunday 13th September the club 100/8 will be taking place. (More details will follow on this event). On 20th September many members will be participating in the Danny Mason Shropshire challenge starting from Ludlow although those not participating can still meet at the stadium for club rides.
