Learn To Ride With Wolverhampton Wheelers
The
Wolverhampton Wheelers have had a considerable
amount of interest from local riders in track
cycling since Team GB's success in the Olympics. To
cater for this there will be a short series of
coaching sessions for novice riders and riders who
have not ridden the track for some time.
These
will follow on from the Fred Williams Track League
and will start on 10th September at 7.00pm The
purpose of these sessions is to bring riders up to a
level where they can safely take part in a Track
League session.
They
will be supported by fully qualified track coaches.
Club track bikes will be available for hire. Cost of
a session is £3.00 plus bike hire is £3 if required.

Club Hill Climb
Saturday 13th September 2008 |
 |
|
Test yourself against the hill!
This is suitable for everyone over 12. You can even drive out
and meet us there (although the clubrun out is fun and a good
warm up).
If you have done it before - try to set a
personal best. If you are new to the club hillclimb, then take
up the challenge and set a marker time. Its only 1123m long
which is equivalent to about 2.5 laps of the Aldersley track (I
cant hide that it is uphill however!)

- 24th August
The WHEELERS Win the Team Award
again, for record 7th time.
A sincere 'Well Done' to all who
completed yet another gruelling ride over some of the
toughest climbs Wales can offer.
I still have to hear officially
but Ian Bulmer has said that we look more than comfortable
as the next team was 6 riders adrift of the Wheelers.
We intend to present the WWC
'Harold Kerwish' trophy at our annual Dinner & Dance on
Saturday 8th November. Patshull Park Hotel and Country Club
6.30 pm - see me for tickets.
All the Best Robin
