Get involved in the revolution!

Have you been inspired

by the success of the

British Cycling team in Rio

this year?

Did you realise that a large percentage of the riders started at their local clubs?

Did you realise that Wolverhampton Wheelers already have 2 Olympians linked with the club and currently have 3 riders working with BC on Olympic Development programmes?

Do YOU want to get involved and be coached by BC trained coaches?

We run sessions at Aldersley Stadium on Mondays, Wednesday's and Friday's for all ages and abilities. If you want to have a go in a safe structured environment come and see us on any of these nights between 1900 and 2100 - ask for Ron, Gordon or John or even speak with one of the coaches. Alternatively contact me on for further information.

We can even provide the bike!

Obituary: Dave Dallow, 25th May 1941-23rd August 2016

It is with great sadness that we witness the passing of one of our long standing members who worked tirelessly for the benefit of others.

Dave was struck by a heart attack whist sailing with friends in the Mediterranean and despite the best efforts of all present and the emergency services they were not able to save him.

A qualified electrician, having served an apprenticeship with Bailis, Jones & Bailey he worked hard and enjoyed life to the full, travelling across the Globe including Australia and Nepal. Dave was a valued Wheeler, always present at the AGM, organising the Thursday club's Christmas meal, helping with the Shropshire Highland Challenge, that was if he wasn't actually riding it! He was also a regular counter in the Wheelers team for the Wild Wales Challenge.

Dave's interests spread much further than the Wheelers, he was a stalwart of the Wombourne CTC where he organised a host of various activities including film shows of their tours and rides.

Dave's other passions included the YHA, walking, sailing with the Himley and the Telford sailing clubs and running which is the long time passion of his lovely wife Brenda. Brenda is very slightly and also very petite and in her day very fast on her feet, having scored numerous successes in various running events.

Dave was a big 'bear' of a man, strong in stature and with an equally big heat to match.

Dave was an exceedingly generous man who would open his heart to all he met, giving so much of his time to ensure that others had a good time.

In the end it was that big heart that finally gave out having done so much. But it was whist Dave was doing something that he loved and amongst friends, not confined to a hospital bed. He would have said himself that was the way he would like to end his days - doing something that he enjoyed.

Our deepest sympathies go out to Brenda along with our warmest thoughts. We will all miss this most generous of men.

The funeral is at Bushbury Crematorium on Wednesday 21st September at 11.15 am. Family flowers only with donations to the RNLI please.
