The Norman Southall Memorial Trophy

Wolverhampton Wheelers Two Counties Road Race

Norman Southall was a stalwart of the Wheelers for many years and a former Club Chairman. He organised a great many events and was always eager to support up and coming riders.

At the time that Norman donated this trophy the Two Counties Road Race (once a major amateur event) had become a specialist Junior (and Third Category riser) race and was part of the season long ‘Peter Buckley’ series of races for junior road men.

Sadly Norman was lost to cancer far too soon in his life but leaving us this tribute to his dedication to cycle sport. His wife June is a Vice President.
